Rispettiamo i musulmani ossia i moderati NON terroristi

Berlino e' una citta' con una fortissima componente turca ormai da decenni, come anche Londra.

Nel 1987 , a Londra, andai a mangiare per la prima volta un KEBAB con un amica tedesca che mi ci porto', dicendo che era un buon cibo.

Nel 1987 , non esisteva il terrorismo islamico e non era ancora accaduto il massacro di Srebrenica in Jugoslavia e il genocidio dei musulmani bosniaci in jugoslavia.

Quindi, nel 1987, a Londra i musulmani vivevano in modo pacifico.

Ecco che allora aveva ragione Daniel Pipes, del Middle east quarterly a dire che i musulmani , ossia i moderati, devono essere rispettati quando il problema sono gli islamici, ossia i terroristi.

IL GOVERNO GENTILONI ?

IL GOVERNO GENTILONI ? Ancora il solito modo di trascinare le cose in Italia, senza risolvere i veri problemi -come l'assenza di lavoro ossia l'alta disoccupazione giovanile e non o il caos legislativo italiano o il debito pubblico italiano tanto per dirne tre, di problemi reali- e con gli stessi politici che hanno compiuto dei macroerrori (come per il referendum costituzionale, che era basato su di una riforma palesemente dannosa per l'Italia e che e' stato anche costoso per i costi organizzativi):cosi' si guadagna tempo e si conserva lo stipendio e la fetta di potere personale a danno dei cittadini, in ultima analisi.
I veri problemi , non solo non sono affrontati, ma nemmeno IDENTIFICATI in tempo, come per la crisi bancaria italiana, di cui io ho scritto sul mio blog nel febbraio del 2013, dicendo che il MONTE DEI PASCHI DI SIENA andava nazionalizzato.
Dopo la sconfitta del fronte del Si' al Referendum costituzionale del 4 dicembre 2016, per me, era chiaro che dovevano essere indette elezioni nazionali politiche italiane in tempi brevi , ad esempio a Febbraio o Marzo del 2017, dato che gli equilibri politici nazionali sono ora radicalmente diversi da quelli di solo 6 mesi od un anno fa (non fate affidamento sui sondaggi elettorali fatti sulle televisioni italiane _vi faccio notare che in Svizzera, sulla televisione , non pubblicano i sondaggi elettorali_).
Questo modo di fare , crea problemi anche a livello di Comunita' Europea, dato che poi a Bruxelles hanno le scuse per bacchettarci e farci richiamare come nazione Italia.

Collectivism will always eventually destroy the economy of any nation, no matter how great it may be.
That’s a pretty powerful statement. Is it historically supportable? Let’s visit a current example - Venezuela, to examine the overall process of collectivism, then look at a few other historical cases and see what we can learn.
Venezuela – 17 Years of Collectivism
In 1980, Venezuela was deemed to be the fourteenth most economically free country in the world. Today, it’s a veritable train wreck, having failed in every conceivable way. How did this happen? Was it just bad luck? No, quite the contrary.
Venezuela’s prosperity was fueled primarily by the export of oil. The downward spiral began in the 1980’s, as a result of a drop in the world oil price. Until that time, there had been strong public support for the free market, but diminished oil receipts resulted in a decline in living standards for most all Venezuelans, which left them open to claims by collectivist political candidates that the whole problem was the free market. In 1999, they elected Hugo Chávez, who promised to solve the problem through collectivism – the promise of a chicken in every pot.
Mister Chávez began to take from the “haves” and provide largesse for the “have-nots.” Not surprisingly, he was highly praised by the have-nots. So, he went further. He nationalized many of Venezuela’s industries. Industry became less and less profitable, so less and less money flowed through the system each year. Eventually, the revenue to government was insufficient to pay for the promised largesse. The leader then died and the new leader, Nicolás Maduro inherited a zombie economy. In desperation, he introduced capital controls and increased nationalization, and regulations, hoping to squeeze as much as possible from the economy before it went off the cliff. The result was a fully dysfunctional economy, replete with massive job losses, increasing shortages and, finally, starvation.
Again, having once been number fourteen on the list of economically free countries, Venezuela is now at the very bottom – at number 152, as a direct result of collectivism.
As Margaret Thatcher once said, “The trouble with socialism is that, eventually, you run out of other people’s money.” Quite so. It does take a while, however. A newly collectivist state at first appears to be solving problems. What it’s really doing is feeding off of past profits. It gobbles up the economy’s store of nuts, but when these nuts are gone, that’s it – there’s no more, and the economy collapses. People starve.
Venezuela now has increasing shortages of food, hyperinflation has set in, the government is totally corrupt, the government is running out of funds for entitlements and government healthcare is overburdened and failing. Like Cuba in the 1980’s, there are no longer any dogs or cats on the streets of Caracas, and for the same reason as Cuba – they’re being eaten by those with no other source of protein.
USSR – 74 Years
Vladimir Lenin introduced collectivism to Russia in 1917. He was able to do so because a revolution had just been completed by the people of Russia as a result of their dissatisfaction with a decline in the standard of living of most Russians. For decades, capitalism existed within the primarily communist system, but eventually, the parasite sucked the host dry. The USSR collapsed in 1991 for the same reason Venezuela is collapsing today.
China – 29 Years
Mao Tse-Tung took over China in 1949 with a collectivist regime. But the “10,000 year rule” he promised fell a bit short. It ended in 1978 in an economic dead-end. It followed the same path as the USSR, but the process was quicker.
Cuba – 57 Years +
Cuba lasted a bit longer. In the 1950’s, Cubans had become dissatisfied, due to the decline in the standard of living for the majority of Cubans and were ripe targets for collectivist promises. They welcomed Fidel Castro in 1959. Cuba limped along for decades, but in recent years, the coffers of the state have dried up and the only hope to keep paying the salaries to government leaders lies in the grass-roots cuentapropista movement  - a rebirth of the free market. Collectivism in Cuba is nearing its end.
In each of the above countries, the pattern has been roughly the same.

• A formerly prosperous country experiences a period in which the standard of living for the majority of citizens drops significantly.
• The voters react by electing a new leader who promises a chicken in every pot (in essence, collectivism, although it is not always called that at the time of the election).
• The new leader begins to rob the producers of wealth to provide largesse for those with less. This has a direct positive benefit for those with less, resulting in an increase in voters supporting collectivist promises over a period of years.
• Over time, the free market experiences a permanent loss of wealth, resulting in diminished largesse for those receiving it.
• The government imposes increasing capital controls and other regulations, which deteriorate the free market more severely, causing shortages of goods, inflation, loss of jobs and eventually starvation and systemic collapse.
• The voters choose a new leader who promises fiscal responsibility.
• With a return to a freer market, prosperity slowly reappears.

The pattern is a predictable one, because it’s based on human nature. An economic downturn occurs. The voters become suckers for false promises. The new collectivist government appears successful at first, because it’s feeding off the remains of the free market. But, eventually it destroys the free market and collectivism crashes and burns.
So, what does the above review tell us? Has the world learned its lesson? Not at all. What we can surmise from the above is that, whenever the standard of living for the majority of citizens drops significantly in a jurisdiction, the voters will be ripe for empty promises. In every such case, collectivism will appear to be the best solution.
Collectivism is by its very nature is a parasitical system that creates nothing. It therefore will always eventually destroy the economy of any nation where it is implemented, no matter how great that nation may be. The only uncertainty is the number of years required for destruction.
Today, we’re witnessing the collapse of the primary jurisdictions of the former “free” world. They’re operating on a quasi-capitalist system that has been eroded by repeated injections of collectivism (primarily socialism and fascism). Increasingly, voters in each of these jurisdictions are becoming convinced that the promises made by collectivist candidates “just make sense.” As the system continues to spiral downward, as it inevitably will, the scales are likely to tip, not in the direction of a return to the free market, but in the direction of full-on collectivism.

SULLA COERENZA

La coerenza non sempre e' praticabile , in assoluto (si legga "l'arte della guerra di Carl von CLAUSEWITZ _La guerra “è un gioco di interazioni” tra incertezza, frizioni, casualità._):ma uno da sempre antiamericano, con viaggi di carattere politico in NORD COREA, poi difficilmente puo' sostenere DONALD TRUMP, sia teoricamente che concretamente.

Perche' non lavoro ? perche' non ho trovato lavoro tramite gli annunci sul Corriere del Ticino. Perche' ho fatto un blog ed un canale you tube ? perche' avevo avuto una brutta esperienza politica in Lega Nord. Perche' ho telefonato a Radio padania e Milanow ? Perche lo si puo' fare e per ragioni politiche , avendo perso il lavoro in Banca UBI private investment volevo dire ed  esprimere cosa penso.Perche' sono povero ? perche' non lavoro dal 2010.Perche' non mi invitano a parlare del mio blog a Milanow, telelombardia ? non ne ho la piu' pallida idea.

Personalmente cerco di NON essere vendicativo (ossia di dimenticare), ma i fatti accaduti storicamente, NON si cancellano dalla realta'.

Come spiegato da Charles Howard McIlwain in "Costituzionalismo antico e moderno" il principe, nella tradizione giuridica medioevale, ha come compito quello di difendere i piu' deboli;a maggior ragione il principe, come prima cosa, non va ammazzato.

Pirati , Corsari e bandiera della UE:mia telefonata di oggi a Milanow

Questa mattina a MILANOW , la televisione privata di Milano, si stava parlando, con Stefano Golfari e Filippo Daniele Jarach di una operazione che ha visto una quindicina di persone arrestate , nell'area milanese, per subappalti viziati da tangenti.

Sono intervenuto, alle 11.06, dicendo che purtroppo la criminalita' e' vecchia come il mondo e ricordando la distinzione tra pirati e corsari, i primi criminali che battevano i mari con la bandiera nera con il teschio ed i secondi mandatari del Re che gli consegnava la cosidetta "lettera di corsa" che era il mandato con il quale il Re li autorizzava ad operare con la bandiera nazionale.

Ho poi detto che gli arrestati sono presunti innocenti fino a sentenza passata in giudicato.

Aggiungo in questo articolo, che pur essendo la criminalita' vecchia come il mondo, nei periodi di crisi aumenta in modo esponenziale.
Ho parlato poi della mia lettera pubblicata dal quotidiano La Provincia di Como del 29 luglio 2009 che , di fatto , parlando di Egon Von Greyerz, prevedeva la crisi bancaria italiana ed europea.

Inoltre, in relazione a mie precedenti telefonate, dove ho parlato di donne "maoiste e bolsceviche" e "che chi non capisce la politica internazionale ed il problema dei profughi di guerra dovrebbe fare il TSO" ho detto che ho utilizzato dei termini troppo forti, trascinato dalla polemica politica.

Infatti il trattamento sanitario obbligatorio, in alcuni casi ha dato luogo anche ad omicidi e quindi era meglio evitare di menzionarlo come ho fatto.

Inoltre, ho detto, che, genericamente parlando, sono arrivato alla conclusione, che, in media, le donne siano migliori degli uomini ed ho detto che questa era una cosa che avevano capito nel 1955 a Strasburgo, quando la Comunita economica europea funzionava bene, dove hanno scelto l'idea di Arsene Heitz per la bandiera della Comunita' europea , che rappresenta, dall'azzurro del cielo alle dodici stelle, l'apocalisse biblica in cui compare la Madonna con in capo una corona.

La donna di Nazareth, in effetti e' la _figlia di Sion_ per eccellenza, ed e' il legame tra antico e nuovo testamento, mentre dodici sono i figli di Giacobbe e le tribu' di Israele e dodici gli apostoli di Gesu'.

La seduta solenne durante la quale la bandiera della EEC venne adottata , si tenne  l'8 dicembre 1955, giorno in cui la chiesa celebra la festa della immacolata concezione.

Con Cristo nel mondo ?

Con "Cristo nel mondo" come e' scritto sulla casa del prete di Gaggino ? Per me, e' gia' tanto se Cristo gira in europa occidentale.

Specificazione su un aspetto importante delle delocalizzazioni

L'accusa , senza fare il mio nome, che mi viene mossa da molti e' quella che io sono un protezionista in economia e che voglio "tagliare fuori l'europa occidentale e l'Italia e gli USA dal resto del mondo" e che sono contro il libero commercio internazionale, che voglio ritornare al medioevo mettendo "ponti levatoi tra Europa occidentale, USA e resto del mondo".

Il problema e' che le delocalizzazioni od offshoring , NON sono libero commercio internazionale ma ARBITRAGGIO SUL COSTO DEL LAVORO, ossia sfruttamento delle differenze di costo tra aree dove il costo del lavoro e' differente.

Il problema non sono le aziende MULTINAZIONALI, che producono in loco, ad esempio in Brasile e vendono in loco, ossia in Brasile, ma le aziende TRANSNAZIONALI, ossia quelle che producono in Brasile, ma vendono i loro prodotti in Italia od Europa o USA, facendo ARBITRAGGIO sulle differenze di costo del lavoro in aree non omogenee.

Tutte cose che ho detto nella mia telefonata a Radio Padania del 15/07/16 alle ore 15.48.

Nella telefonata parlavo anche della cosidetta PREFERENZA COMUNITARIA, ossia preferenza data ai prodotti comunitari dal 1945 al 1973.

Come ha detto l'ottimo economista Maurice Allais, premio nobel francese, e' dal 1974 che la disoccupazione strutturale sta crescendo in Europa ed Usa e le cose sono solo peggiorate ancora con GATT e NAFTA.

Con il GATT, 4 miliardi di persone (cinesi, del sud east asiatico e dell' America latina, principalmente) sono entrate improvvisamente nel mercato globale , non con il libero commercio , ma con le delocalizzazioni od offshoring.
In Cina, nel 2008, il costo medio per ora di lavoro era di dollari 1,36, mentre in USA era di dollari 33.53 ed in India il costo medio di un ora di lavoro e' di pochi centesimi di dollaro :quindi in Cina , rispetto agli USA, nel 2008 con un ora di lavoro di un americano si pagava un ora di lavoro di 25 cinesi.
Paul Craig Roberts, nel suo testo "How the economy was lost" ha stimato che da 1/5 ad 1/4 della disoccupazione totale negli USA e' dovuta alle delocalizzazione od offshoring.
Cosa ben diversa  e' il fenomeno del Dumping.

GUARDIA di finanza o fiamme gialle

Non mi piace la guardia di finanza o fiamme gialle, perche', al di la' di fatti personali innumerevoli, che pur esistono, le fiamme gialle italiane , NON combattono adeguatamente la corruzione in Italia, che e' altissima, un fenomeno assai diffuso, che vede l'Italia essere il primo paese in Europa per diffusione della corruzione come indicato sul Financial Times del 18 dicembre 2015 che pubblicava una classifica sulla corruzione in Europa, redatta da autorevole fonte.

Non e' vero che il Financial Times sostiene Matteo Renzi:ieri , il giornale inglese, con Sarah Gordon, ha detto che una crisi bancaria italiana come quella attuale ed un NO al referendum costituzionale sarebbero -sono- due gravi fatti per Matteo Renzi e per l'Eurozona, come fatti puramente oggettivi. Questo non vuol dire che il financial times sia contro il NO al referendum costituzionale ed infatti io votero' NO al referendum costituzionale promosso da Matteo Renzi, dato , che una cosa che il FT non ha detto, e' che un SI , sarebbe ancora peggio che un No sia per l'italia che per l'eurozona.

Infatti e' stato Matteo Renzi a negare , tramite una narrazione totalmente irrealista, fin dall'inizio del suo mandato, la gravita' della situazione politica italiana ad esempio negando la gravita' della situazione bancaria italiana (vedasi , non solo Unicredit, ma in particolare Monte dei Paschi di Siena) , anche se paragonata alla situazione bancaria di altri paesi europei e promuovendo un referendum costituzionale dannoso ed inopportuno, in particolare per le per le modalita', ma anche  per i tempi.

Ad esempio , l'altro giorno , in ritardo di due anni da quanto dichiarato da me a Radio Padania , nel 2014, alle 19.25 del 28 gennaio 2014, quando ho parlato di delocalizzazioni e cicli di borsa, hanno intervistato, al telegiornale della sera, in data 17 luglio 2016, un americano della classe media che si lamentava delle delocalizzazioni in Asia.

Ossia la televisione svizzera ha detto, in sostanza in data 17 luglio 2016, quello che io avevo detto a Radio Padania, in data 28 gennaio 2014, alle ore 19.25.
Generalmente parlando, comunque, la RSI ossia la Tv pubblica del Ticino, rimane una buona televisione con un alto standard qualitativo.

GUERRA CONTRO LA LIBIA DEL 2011

La guerra contro la Libia dal 19 marzo 2011 al 31 ottobre 2011 e' stata una guerra veramente corretta. A differenza di quanto sostengono parecchi italiani, che hanno interessi in Libia, la guerra contro Mu'ammar Gheddafi e' stata veramente giusta ed ha colpito un regime terrorista fin dai tempi della strage di Lockerbie del 21 dicembre 1988.

Ilda Bocassini , la "magistrata" di Milano, e' una signora molto, molto privilegiata .E parlo di privilegi di fatto, oltre che di diritto, quella alchimia, di fatto, di privilegi legati al potere che non sempre coincide con i soldi , come per esempio il privilegio di avere una scorta di sicurezza.

Oltre alla scorta, allo stipendio GARANTITO a fine mese, alla esposizione mediatica, allo stipendio NON agganciato ai risultati, non mi risulta che la signora Ilda Bocassini abbia mai subito una procedura di censura per errori gravi nell'esercizio della sua funzione (e qualche errore molto grave la signora Ilda Bocassini lo avra' pur commesso durante la sua lunga carriera):quindi i giudici italiani, oltre ad avere i privilegi elencati hanno anche il privilegio di non subire ,di fatto, censure o punizioni da parte del CSM , anche se poi,  statisticamente, come tutte le categorie professionali qualche errore lo compiono. (ossia sono sottoposti ad una autotutela da parte del CSM, che naturalmente e' inficiata da un conflitto di interessi enorme dato che "GIUDICE non MANGIA GIUDICE" per dirla in termini volgari).

Quello che Matteo Salvini e vari leghisti non ha ancora capito e non hanno ancora capito - e che non capira'/capiranno mai- e' che la Russia e' molto peggio degli USA e che a Mosca c'e' un governo totalitario con Vladimir Putin. Sono entrato in Lega nord a Drezzo il 6 marzo 2004, portando la lega nord dal 3,5% del marzo 2004 al 13% del dicembre 2010.

Mi sono dimesso dalla lega nord a Gennaio_Febbraio 2011 e la Lega nord, lentamente, e' discesa dal 13% del dicembre 2010 al 3% del luglio 2013, dopo tutti i fatti dei diamanti di Belsito, la pulizia di Maroni con le scope e il litigio/rissa alla festa di Cermenate del luglio 2013.

Sono rientrato in Lega nord, con un post sul mio blog, in data 3 luglio 2013 (la lega nord in relazione a quel post del 3/07/13 e' riapparsa in televisione, da dove era sparita da almeno un anno) e la lega nord e' ricominciata a salire , grazie all' afflusso del mio pacchetto di voti fino ad arrivare al 13% del 23 marzo 2016, quando , scegliendo di votare FORZA ITALIA ho spostato il mio pacchetto di voti DALLA LEGA NORD a FORZA ITALIA:di conseguenza, data la mia scelta del 23 marzo 2016, la lega nord e' crollata alle comunali di Milano del 5 giugno 2016, Forza Italia ha guadagnato voti e la lega nord  probabilmente e' destinata a ritornare a livelli vicini al 4%-7% circa.

Quindi la lega nord ha fatto un pessimo affare nel non ascoltare i miei consigli e nel non darmi spazio.

La lega nord , in ultima analisi, si delinea come un partito "waiting for Godot" grazie agli errori ripetuti che compie, in particolare per una dirigenza impreparata politicamente.

HA vinto la Brexit

Ha vinto la Brexit e mi dispiace.Ma si legga il mio articolo del 30 dicembre 2014 "The trap -di James Goldsmith" e quindi i notevoli errori della Comunita' europea negli ultimi anni (almeno negli ultimi 25 anni).

Ad esempio, quindi, si leggano i due testi:

"THE TRAP" di James Goldsmith e "THE ROTTEN HEART OF EUROPE" di Bernard Connolly e si vedano  gli ultimi 10 miliardi dati alla Grecia solo 10 giorni fa od il famoso problema del DEFICIT DEMOCRATICO della UE , problema che si trascina dalla nascita della UE.

Adesso vediamo, se come argomentato dal Wall Street journal, in data giugno 23 2016, -Impact of "Brexit" would be gradula, global- l'impatto della Brexit sara' globale e negativo.

Comunque , per me , con la Brexit , la Gran Bretagna ha optato per il passato , non per il futuro, dato che la Comunita' Europea puo' essere costretta ad essere piu' democratica_vedasi deficit democratico della Ue_ e più orientata ad un sistema liberale e non improntato su di un modello bolscevico e di welfare state.

Anzi, la Comunita' europea, per riformarsi, dovrebbe iniziare ad espellere i paesi peggiori dalla comunita' europea e non perdere i migliori, come la Gran Bretagna.

LA SVIZZERA DEVE ENTRARE SUBITO NELLA COMUNITA' Europea.

la Svizzera ? dato che e' nell'ONU , entri SUBITO nella comunita' europea e dia un apporto positivo in Europa.

Il debito pubblico italiano come metafora del paese Italia

Cosa e' un debito dal punto di vista TEMPORALE ? E' consumare oggi, a debito , quello che dovresti fare domani sulla base di entrate economiche "sane" quindi ANTICIPARE una utilita' (prendere il TEMPO a prestito a scapito del creditore che rischia di perdere il suo FUTURO se il debito non e' onorato o e' rinnovato all'infinito-vedasi ad esempio -roll over- sul debito pubblico italiano).

Il debito pubblico italiano rapresenta quello che una generazione (1948/1958) ha consumato a danno dei giovani. 

Stessa cosa vale per il tasso di natalita' negato alla generazione dei giovani per motivi economici o per altri aspetti della vita dei giovani.

Quindi , gli anziani , in generale , hanno lasciato i debiti ai giovani, negando il futuro ai giovani (che dovranno pagare i debiti).

Questo lo ha fatto, in particolare, la sinistra comunista/maoista/rossobruna italiana con un welfare State fuori controllo in salsa italica che e' poi , in poche parole, "lanciare i soldi dalla finestra alla folla affamata", per avere voti .

Adesso ci sono solo debiti (auguri alla nuova "sindachessa" di Roma dei 5 stelle riguardo i debiti di Roma).

Continuando a "trascinare" la situazione come avviene oggi in Italia, con gerontocrazia , politici incapaci, demagogia, mancanza di misure radicali e MANCANZA DI RIFORME si aggrava solo la situazione.

(E andando avanti cosi', anche per me, che lavoro e combatto _vedasi terza guerra mondiale in pezzi e guerra civile locale- gratuitamente dal 2010, il futuro , se va avanti cosi' e' di avere dei debiti , invece di fare i soldi _negando , in un mondo "rovesciato", il detto di Margaret Thatcher "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money"-ossia in Italia i soldi finiscono non ai comunisti, ma ai liberali , dato che l'Italia e' , nei fatti, una repubblica socialista sovietica).

Prime Minister

Prime Minister, Rector, Your Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen: First, may I thank you for giving me the opportunity to return to Bruges and in very different circumstances from my last visit shortly after the Zeebrugge Ferry disaster, when Belgian courage and the devotion of your doctors and nurses saved so many British lives. And second, may I say what a pleasure it is to speak at the College of Europe under the distinguished leadership of its [Professor Lukaszewski ] Rector. The College plays a vital and increasingly important part in the life of the European Community. And third, may I also thank you for inviting me to deliver my address in this magnificent hall. What better place to speak of Europe's future than a building which so gloriously recalls the greatness that Europe had already achieved over 600 years ago. Your city of Bruges has many other historical associations for us in Britain. Geoffrey Chaucer was a frequent visitor here. And the first book to be printed in the English language was produced here in Bruges by William Caxton .

Britain and Europe

Mr. Chairman, you have invited me to speak on the subject of Britain and Europe. Perhaps I should congratulate you on your courage. If you believe some of the things said and written about my views on Europe, it must seem rather like inviting Genghis Khan to speak on the virtues of peaceful coexistence! I want to start by disposing of some myths about my country, Britain, and its relationship with Europe and to do that, I must say something about the identity of Europe itself. Europe is not the creation of the Treaty of Rome. Nor is the European idea the property of any group or institution. We British are as much heirs to the legacy of European culture as any other nation. Our links to the rest of Europe, the continent of Europe, have been the dominant factor in our history. For three hundred years, we were part of the Roman Empire and our maps still trace the straight lines of the roads the Romans built. Our ancestors—Celts, Saxons, Danes—came from the Continent.[fo 1] Our nation was—in that favourite Community word—"restructured" under the Norman and Angevin rule in the eleventh and twelfth centuries. This year, we celebrate the three hundredth anniversary of the glorious revolution in which the British crown passed to Prince William of Orange and Queen Mary . Visit the great churches and cathedrals of Britain, read our literature and listen to our language: all bear witness to the cultural riches which we have drawn from Europe and other Europeans from us. We in Britain are rightly proud of the way in which, since Magna Carta in the year 1215, we have pioneered and developed representative institutions to stand as bastions of freedom. And proud too of the way in which for centuries Britain was a home for people from the rest of Europe who sought sanctuary from tyranny. But we know that without the European legacy of political ideas we could not have achieved as much as we did. From classical and mediaeval thought we have borrowed that concept of the rule of law which marks out a civilised society from barbarism. And on that idea of Christendom, to which the Rector referred—Christendom for long synonymous with Europe—with its recognition of the unique and spiritual nature of the individual, on that idea, we still base our belief in personal liberty and other human rights. Too often, the history of Europe is described as a series of interminable wars and quarrels. Yet from our perspective today surely what strikes us most is our common experience. For instance, the story of how Europeans explored and colonised—and yes, without apology—civilised much of the world is an extraordinary tale of talent, skill and courage. But we British have in a very special way contributed to Europe. Over the centuries we have fought to prevent Europe from falling under the dominance of a single power. We have fought and we have died for her freedom. Only miles from here, in Belgium, lie the bodies of 120,000 British soldiers who died in the First World War. Had it not been for that willingness to fight and to die, Europe would have been united long before now—but not in liberty, not in justice. It was British support to resistance movements throughout the last War that helped to keep alive the flame of liberty in so many countries until the day of liberation. Tomorrow, King Baudouin will attend a service in Brussels to commemorate the many brave Belgians who gave their lives in service with the Royal Air Force—a sacrifice which we shall never forget. And it was from our island fortress that the liberation of Europe itself was mounted. And still, today, we stand together. Nearly 70,000 British servicemen are stationed on the mainland of Europe. All these things alone are proof of our commitment to Europe's future.[fo 2] The European Community is one manifestation of that European identity, but it is not the only one. We must never forget that east of the Iron Curtain, people who once enjoyed a full share of European culture, freedom and identity have been cut off from their roots. We shall always look on Warsaw, Prague and Budapest as great European cities. Nor should we forget that European values have helped to make the United States of America into the valiant defender of freedom which she has become.

Europe's Future

This is no arid chronicle of obscure facts from the dust-filled libraries of history. It is the record of nearly two thousand years of British involvement in Europe, cooperation with Europe and contribution to Europe, contribution which today is as valid and as strong as ever [sic]. Yes, we have looked also to wider horizons—as have others—and thank goodness for that, because Europe never would have prospered and never will prosper as a narrow-minded, inward-looking club. The European Community belongs to all its members. It must reflect the traditions and aspirations of all its members. And let me be quite clear. Britain does not dream of some cosy, isolated existence on the fringes of the European Community. Our destiny is in Europe, as part of the Community. That is not to say that our future lies only in Europe, but nor does that of France or Spain or, indeed, of any other member. The Community is not an end in itself. Nor is it an institutional device to be constantly modified according to the dictates of some abstract intellectual concept. Nor must it be ossified by endless regulation. The European Community is a practical means by which Europe can ensure the future prosperity and security of its people in a world in which there are many other powerful nations and groups of nations. We Europeans cannot afford to waste our energies on internal disputes or arcane institutional debates. They are no substitute for effective action. Europe has to be ready both to contribute in full measure to its own security and to compete commercially and industrially in a world in which success goes to the countries which encourage individual initiative and enterprise, rather than those which attempt to diminish them. This evening I want to set out some guiding principles for the future which I believe will ensure that Europe does succeed, not just in economic and defence terms but also in the quality of life and the influence of its peoples.[fo 3]

Willing Cooperation Between Sovereign States

My first guiding principle is this: willing and active cooperation between independent sovereign states is the best way to build a successful European Community. To try to suppress nationhood and concentrate power at the centre of a European conglomerate would be highly damaging and would jeopardise the objectives we seek to achieve. Europe will be stronger precisely because it has France as France, Spain as Spain, Britain as Britain, each with its own customs, traditions and identity. It would be folly to try to fit them into some sort of identikit European personality. Some of the founding fathers of the Community thought that the United States of America might be its model. But the whole history of America is quite different from Europe. People went there to get away from the intolerance and constraints of life in Europe. They sought liberty and opportunity; and their strong sense of purpose has, over two centuries, helped to create a new unity and pride in being American, just as our pride lies in being British or Belgian or Dutch or German. I am the first to say that on many great issues the countries of Europe should try to speak with a single voice. I want to see us work more closely on the things we can do better together than alone. Europe is stronger when we do so, whether it be in trade, in defence or in our relations with the rest of the world. But working more closely together does not require power to be centralised in Brussels or decisions to be taken by an appointed bureaucracy. Indeed, it is ironic that just when those countries such as the Soviet Union, which have tried to run everything from the centre, are learning that success depends on dispersing power and decisions away from the centre, there are some in the Community who seem to want to move in the opposite direction. We have not successfully rolled back the frontiers of the state in Britain, only to see them re-imposed at a European level with a European super-state exercising a new dominance from Brussels. Certainly we want to see Europe more united and with a greater sense of common purpose. But it must be in a way which preserves the different traditions, parliamentary powers and sense of national pride in one's own country; for these have been the source of Europe's vitality through the centuries.

Encouraging change

My second guiding principle is this: Community policies must tackle present problems in a practical way, however difficult that may be. If we cannot reform those Community policies which are patently wrong or ineffective and which are rightly causing public disquiet, then we shall not get the public support for the Community's future development. And that is why the achievements of the European Council in Brussels last February are so important.[fo 4] It was not right that half the total Community budget was being spent on storing and disposing of surplus food. Now those stocks are being sharply reduced. It was absolutely right to decide that agriculture's share of the budget should be cut in order to free resources for other policies, such as helping the less well-off regions and helping training for jobs. It was right too to introduce tighter budgetary discipline to enforce these decisions and to bring the Community spending under better control. And those who complained that the Community was spending so much time on financial detail missed the point. You cannot build on unsound foundations, financial or otherwise, and it was the fundamental reforms agreed last winter which paved the way for the remarkable progress which we have made since on the Single Market. But we cannot rest on what we have achieved to date. For example, the task of reforming the Common Agricultural Policy is far from complete. Certainly, Europe needs a stable and efficient farming industry. But the CAP has become unwieldy, inefficient and grossly expensive. Production of unwanted surpluses safeguards neither the income nor the future of farmers themselves. We must continue to pursue policies which relate supply more closely to market requirements, and which will reduce over-production and limit costs. Of course, we must protect the villages and rural areas which are such an important part of our national life, but not by the instrument of agricultural prices. Tackling these problems requires political courage. The Community will only damage itself in the eyes of its own people and the outside world if that courage is lacking.

Europe Open to Enterprise

My third guiding principle is the need for Community policies which encourage enterprise. If Europe is to flourish and create the jobs of the future, enterprise is the key. The basic framework is there: the Treaty of Rome itself was intended as a Charter for Economic Liberty. But that it is not how it has always been read, still less applied. The lesson of the economic history of Europe in the 70's and 80's is that central planning and detailed control do not work and that personal endeavour and initiative do. That a State-controlled economy is a recipe for low growth and that free enterprise within a framework of law brings better results. The aim of a Europe open to enterprise is the moving force behind the creation of the Single European Market in 1992. By getting rid of barriers, by making it possible for companies to operate on a European scale, we can best compete with the United States, Japan and other new economic powers emerging in Asia and elsewhere.[fo 5] And that means action to free markets, action to widen choice, action to reduce government intervention. Our aim should not be more and more detailed regulation from the centre: it should be to deregulate and to remove the constraints on trade. Britain has been in the lead in opening its markets to others. The City of London has long welcomed financial institutions from all over the world, which is why it is the biggest and most successful financial centre in Europe. We have opened our market for telecommunications equipment, introduced competition into the market services and even into the network itself—steps which others in Europe are only now beginning to face. In air transport, we have taken the lead in liberalisation and seen the benefits in cheaper fares and wider choice. Our coastal shipping trade is open to the merchant navies of Europe. We wish we could say the same of many other Community members. Regarding monetary matters, let me say this. The key issue is not whether there should be a European Central Bank. The immediate and practical requirements are: � to implement the Community's commitment to free movement of capital—in Britain, we have it; � and to the abolition through the Community of exchange controls—in Britain, we abolished them in 1979; � to establish a genuinely free market in financial services in banking, insurance, investment; � and to make greater use of the ecu. This autumn, Britain is issuing ecu-denominated Treasury bills and hopes to see other Community governments increasingly do the same. These are the real requirements because they are what the Community business and industry need if they are to compete effectively in the wider world. And they are what the European consumer wants, for they will widen his choice and lower his costs. It is to such basic practical steps that the Community's attention should be devoted. When those have been achieved and sustained over a period of time, we shall be in a better position to judge the next move. It is the same with frontiers between our countries. Of course, we want to make it easier for goods to pass through frontiers. Of course, we must make it easier for people to travel throughout the Community. But it is a matter of plain common sense that we cannot totally abolish frontier controls if we are also to protect our citizens from crime and stop the movement of drugs, of terrorists and of illegal immigrants.[fo 6] That was underlined graphically only three weeks ago when one brave German customs officer, doing his duty on the frontier between Holland and Germany, struck a major blow against the terrorists of the IRA. And before I leave the subject of a single market, may I say that we certainly do not need new regulations which raise the cost of employment and make Europe's labour market less flexible and less competitive with overseas suppliers. If we are to have a European Company Statute, it should contain the minimum regulations. And certainly we in Britain would fight attempts to introduce collectivism and corporatism at the European level—although what people wish to do in their own countries is a matter for them.

Europe Open to the World

My fourth guiding principle is that Europe should not be protectionist. The expansion of the world economy requires us to continue the process of removing barriers to trade, and to do so in the multilateral negotiations in the GATT. It would be a betrayal if, while breaking down constraints on trade within Europe, the Community were to erect greater external protection. We must ensure that our approach to world trade is consistent with the liberalisation we preach at home. We have a responsibility to give a lead on this, a responsibility which is particularly directed towards the less developed countries. They need not only aid; more than anything, they need improved trading opportunities if they are to gain the dignity of growing economic strength and independence.

Europe and Defence

My last guiding principle concerns the most fundamental issue—the European countries' role in defence. Europe must continue to maintain a sure defence through NATO. There can be no question of relaxing our efforts, even though it means taking difficult decisions and meeting heavy costs. It is to NATO that we owe the peace that has been maintained over 40 years. The fact is things are going our way: the democratic model of a free enterprise society has proved itself superior; freedom is on the offensive, a peaceful offensive the world over, for the first time in my life-time. We must strive to maintain the United States' commitment to Europe's defence. And that means recognising the burden on their resources of the world role they undertake and their point that their allies should bear the full part of the defence of freedom, particularly as Europe grows wealthier. Increasingly, they will look to Europe to play a part in out-of-area defence, as we have recently done in the Gulf. NATO and the Western European Union have long recognised where the problems of Europe's defence lie, and have pointed out the solutions. And the time has come when we must give substance to our declarations about a strong defence effort with better value for money.[fo 7] It is not an institutional problem. It is not a problem of drafting. It is something at once simpler and more profound: it is a question of political will and political courage, of convincing people in all our countries that we cannot rely for ever on others for our defence, but that each member of the Alliance must shoulder a fair share of the burden. We must keep up public support for nuclear deterrence, remembering that obsolete weapons do not deter, hence the need for modernisation. We must meet the requirements for effective conventional defence in Europe against Soviet forces which are constantly being modernised. We should develop the WEU, not as an alternative to NATO, but as a means of strengthening Europe's contribution to the common defence of the West. Above all, at a time of change and uncertainly in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, we must preserve Europe's unity and resolve so that whatever may happen, our defence is sure. At the same time, we must negotiate on arms control and keep the door wide open to cooperation on all the other issues covered by the Helsinki Accords. But let us never forget that our way of life, our vision and all we hope to achieve, is secured not by the rightness of our cause but by the strength of our defence. On this, we must never falter, never fail.

The British Approach

Mr. Chairman, I believe it is not enough just to talk in general terms about a European vision or ideal. If we believe in it, we must chart the way ahead and identify the next steps. And that is what I have tried to do this evening. This approach does not require new documents: they are all there, the North Atlantic Treaty, the Revised Brussels Treaty and the Treaty of Rome, texts written by far-sighted men, a remarkable Belgian— Paul Henri Spaak —among them. However far we may want to go, the truth is that we can only get there one step at a time. And what we need now is to take decisions on the next steps forward, rather than let ourselves be distracted by Utopian goals. Utopia never comes, because we know we should not like it if it did. Let Europe be a family of nations, understanding each other better, appreciating each other more, doing more together but relishing our national identity no less than our common European endeavour. Let us have a Europe which plays its full part in the wider world, which looks outward not inward, and which preserves that Atlantic community—that Europe on both sides of the Atlantic—which is our noblest inheritance and our greatest strength. May I thank you for the privilege of delivering this lecture in this great hall to this great college (applause).

"They can't possibly believe that they're going to wait out this cycle at zero interest rates at an economy that's at peak debt," he said. "I think they'll hike one more time this year or they'll make an excuse why they can't."
Stockman said a decline in earnings growth, global headwinds, mismanagement by the European Central Bank and lack of leadership from the Fed have led to a market resting on thin ice.
"As soon as the markets realize that the Fed and the ECB are out of ammunition, it's over," Stockman said. "I think we're in an extremely unsafe world — we've never been here before."
The proof of that uncertainty can be found in Asia, he said. Japan, China and South Korea all saw exports drop by double digits in the first two months of a years.
"The world economy is drifting into recession and we are not decoupled," said Stockman. "We are not exempt."
The S&P 500 has staged a massive 13 percent comeback since February's low but Stockman said broad swings are nothing but the beginning of a long and burdensome bear market.
"We're still in no man's land. We've had a dead cat bounce. It's been strong," Stockman said. "The only thing left is to bury the cat!"
Stockman's target on the S&P 500 is 1,300, a 37 percent drop from Tuesday's open.
"Global deflation is going to turn into a recession worldwide," said Stockman. "They're out of ammo to deal with it."

Polizia in Ticino, Svizzera

Per quello che ne so io, la polizia ticinese, che vedo operare tra Lugano e Novazzano, in particolare la zona che io frequento, e' composta da gran lavoratori, persone capaci che pattugliano continuamente il territorio con parecchia attenzione nell' eliminazione della criminalita'.

La polizia ticinese lavora duramente al servizio della collettivita' e puo' essere giudicata solo in modo molto positivo.

Citta' di Como, citta' suicida

Como e' una citta' che e' in una fossa dai tempi dei romani,ossia dalla sua fondazione , ma che non smette di scavare _if you are in a hole, stop digging_.Matteo Salvini ha forti rapporti con la sezione della Lega Nord di Como, Silvio Berlusconi ha forti rapporti con Como tramite Oltrona San Mamete, fin dalla sua infanzia, Bettino Craxi aveva forti rapporti con la citta' di Como.

Ma como non smette di scavare.

Allora Como e' proprio una citta' suicida.
