Ateqeh Rajabi was publicly hanged on a street in the city center of Neka in the northern province of Mazandaran , Iran, August 15, 2004 for "acts incompatible with chastity". She was charged with allegedly having sex with her boyfriend.
After the execution, the town governor sent the judge a letter of congratulions.
